What does it say
About a democracy
Where governments spy
On the citizens,
Pass omnibus bills
That hide draconian content,
Treat whistle blowers
And those trying to tell us
What governments are up to
As traitors and criminals,
Bow and cater to big money,
Ego and power,
What does it say
About citizens who
Pretend they are unaware
Continually looking the other way.
