as the scents of the
brewing coffee linger on
the space of the kitchen
and windows meet the
sparkle of the yellow sun
play with the distant skies
as the kites allure the
birds and the flies
and tapestries on the wall
display frozen cadillacs
of black and white
hike on higher mountains
as the sight is greenery below
and fogs trap the shoulders cold
to wonder at the earth is
to wonder at her Maker
